Is bapu bazaar open these days in view of the curfew imposed upon during corona lockdown.

In reply to Ana. Namaste Ana. Bapu Bazar is comparatively new. There was an underground drainage system at the location of Bapu Bazar once. After the turbulent times of 1947 partition, Jaipur too received thousands of migrants from Sindh and Punjab part of Pakistan. Then government decided to allot them land on subsidized rates to provide them employment. Shops were allotted at Bapu Bazar also. As a result, you will find most of the shops in the market are owned by Punjabi and Sindhi community people. Soon the hardworking communities of Punjabis and Sindhis converted the market in a major tourist market in Jaipur. Hope it answers your question. Feel free to contact for any other info. Regards.
