The former home of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is situated 5 miles (8.0 km) outside the walled city of Jaipur on Bhawani Singh road.
Several royal families have called Rambagh Palace home over the years. It was modestly constructed in 1835 for the Queen’s favorite handmaiden Kesar Badaran and later renovated for use as a hunting lodge. Rambagh was transformed into a palace & used as the Maharaja of Jaipur’s residence in 1925.
