Well, here is good news for all. Jaipur Smart City Limited has chosen Chaura Rasta for Night Bazar. This would be another attraction for tourists visiting Jaipur.

On 25 June 2015 honorable Prime Minister of India launched Smart City Mission under which Jaipur was also chosen along 100 other cities of India. Under this project Rajasthan Government proposed to conserve heritage of Jaipur. And one such project is Night Bazaar.
- The markets of walled city of Jaipur are colored pink and it is a part of our town planning now.
- The streets are colored and lightened for night.
Keeping Indore’s night bazar as a model, JSCL would register 350 makeshift vendors initially and they would be allowed to set up stalls on both sides of road from New Gate to SBI Bank.

These stalls would offer food, handicrafts, accessories and other items.
Chaura Rasta Night Bazar Timing
Initially this market will be operative once in a week, either Saturday or Sunday from 8 PM till 1 AM in night.
Important – At the time of writing, this Night Foodwalk in Jaipur is inaugurated on Republic Day (January 26, 2018) but it will take few more weeks to become fully operative.

This bazar will offer unique entertainment and shopping experience to all. So, it’s time for you to add this to your Jaipur tourist places for night list.

This would also allow people to enjoy shopping and outing after office hours. It is notable that such night bazars are already a hit in hot tourist destinations.
On both sides of Chaura Rasta there are many traditionally built Havelis which are now being conserved under the project.
In addition to the shopping experience, the night food bazar in Jaipur will be next step in promoting tourism. And most importantly it would be a boon for people to avoid scorching heat in day time.
